Psychological Handscapes©
The human hand structures can be measured, described, printed, and documented. The concept of using human hands as instruments of personality assessment dates back to the Chinese, three thousand years B.C. Scores of theoretical meanings are documented by leading authors in many books.
The scientific interest in hand analysis is based upon the biology of growing our hand features in unique ways. It is generally accepted in medical science that the functions of the hand are in close coordination with brain function via electrical impulses acting between our nerve and cell systems (Wedding & Faust, 1989). Neurologists are researching the vital connections between brain and hand functions. Continued scientific research in the fields of neurobiology and psychology are assisting the inquiry into the written theories of hand analysis as a tool for understanding the mental attitudes and functions that determine human psychological preferences.
My aim is to test my preliminary research results that identify hand features uniquely present for each dichotomous preference on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: EIR Step II.
